The UK consortium on COVID-19 genomics (COG) aims to link local sequencing centres with large scale facilities from across the UK to apply real-time genomic epidemiology to our understanding and ability to respond to the pandemic. CGPS is pleased to be a core partner in COG ( cogconsortium.uk ) delivering large-scale and rapid whole-genome virus sequencing to inform UK response. Through a £20 million investment, the consortium looks for breakthroughs that help the UK respond to this and future pandemics, and save lives.
